DESCRIPTION:
There's a small chip under the edge of the knob-shaped pouring spout. There's also a mark (small indentation) at the shoulder's hip at the rear. This is not damage but occurred during the vessel's realization and is underneath the glaze. This anomaly occurred while the clay was still wet and after being finished on the potter's wheel.
The small chip underneath the knobby, tapered pouring spout amounts to any damage on this otherwise very nice, early ceramic bottle, featuring clean, clear and crisp stamped typography on the bottle's sloped upper shoulder, that reads
'R. Robinson, 1875.'
It has a nice mottled putty white, glossy, reflective glaze that has burnt umber speckles and episodes of burnt sienna complimenting it. There are no hairline cracks or fractures, blow-outs or unsightly stains marring this otherwise well-preserved and now nearly
