Motor Controller Enclosure - Motor Mounted.
My dad’s company had worked on a prototype dc motor controller that would fit inside this enclosure and then the enclosure could be mounted to the motor housing end opposite the shaft. This is a sample enclosure that is unused but shows a very little wear. The finned portion is aluminum to serve as a heat sink while the rest is steel.
Mounting holes for the enclosure are spaced 4” center to center along each side.
