Description

The TG-3 antenna is our high power (500W) model and comes with a 36” 3/8" aluminum rod whip and can be tuned to any frequency within the 144-174 MHz VHF spectrum, (cut chart included).
Gain is 5.1 dBi, 3 dBd (power in watts to antenna X 2)
The base station antenna is suitable for both land and sea application and is hermetically sealed in a stainless steel canister to ensure life longevity.
Base is threaded for mounting on a 1-1/4" dia. threaded pipe.
Total Length of the Antenna Whip is 36"
Antenna element should be trimmed to length to optimize at the desired frequency
A Marine VHF antenna is center tuned to 156.8MHz (Whip cut to 33”)
A AIS VHF antenna is center tuned to 162.0 MHz (Whip cut to 31.75”)
Hand-wound loading coil is factory tuned and tested to ensure peak performance at a specified frequency
Coil is hermetically sealed to prevent moisture damage
No ground plane required
